Abstract

Biochemical, genomic, and serological data indicate that strains currently referred to as serovar 5 are sufficiently distinct from other species of the genus to merit separate species status. It is proposed that these strains be designated sp. nov. The type strain of is strain SLCC 2379 (= ATCC 19119).
