Abstract

The 16S ribosomal ribonucleic acid oligonucleotide catalog of was found to be closely related (similarity coefficient, 0.73) to that of . These data, together with the phenotypic similarity found among all strains tested, provide no support for the exclusion of (and the closely related species ) from the genus .
