Abstract

The taxonomic status of strains belonging to the phenotypic cluster, including eight strains, three strains, and the type strains of and , was evaluated by using DNA relatedness data. The strains were separated into seven different DNA homology groups, including four single-member clusters, at a level of DNA relatedness of >70%. NRRL 2387 (T = type strain) clustered with the type strain of and several strains. The other strains of , and formed single-member homology groups.
