Abstract

A sequence analysis of the 16S rRNA of T4/M (T = type strain) showed that this strain is closely related to members of the genus , especially C2A. T4/M and HI350 were morphologically more similar to members of the genus than to members of the genus in that they both formed massive cell aggregates with pseudosarcinae. Thus, we propose that should be transferred to the genus as
