Abstract

Nucleotide sequence analyses of the hymenomycetous yeasts demonstrated that should be considered as a member of the genus within the Trichosporonales and that is associated closely with the Cystofilobasidiales, rather than the Trichosporonales. Accordingly, the following proposals are made: comb. nov. and gen. nov., to accommodate comb. nov. in the Cystofilobasidiales.
