Abstract

The cytochrome difference spectra of 15 strains of the genus were found to differ from those of 7 strains of the genus The strains contained cytochrome which was lacking in the strains.Within the genus , the Peroxydans group of Frateur could be separated through its cytochrome content from the Oxydans and Mesoxydans groups.
