Abstract

The 16S rRNA primary structures of DSM 20639 (T = type strain) and DSM 20456 were determined by sequencing in vitro amplified rDNA. Sequence comparisons indicated that is moderately related to representatives of the genera and . The closest relative of is and are more closely related phylogenetically to one another than to the other species that have been investigated by using comparative 16S rRNA analysis. Therefore, we propose that should be transferred to the genus as comb. nov.
