Abstract

Schillinger, Holzapfel, and Kandler 1989 is described as a later subjective synonym of Farrow, Facklam, and Collins 1989 on the basis of the results of phenotypic, chemotaxonomic, and DNA-DNA hybridization studies. The name should be retained; the type strain is strain NCDO 1837 (= NRIC 1776).
