Abstract

The phytopathogens (Hedges), (Keyworth, Howell & Dowson), (Saaltink & Maas Geesteranus) and (Starr & Pirone) differ to such an extent from the type species of (Lehimann & Neumann), that they cannot be retained in this genus. On the basis of biochemical, chemical and genetic data it is proposed that and be reclassified in the genus (Yamada & Komagata), as (Hedges) comb. nov.
