When the temperature was lowered the amounts of monounsaturated C16:1 and C18:1 fatty acids increased with a corresponding decrease in the amounts of saturated C16:0 and C18:0 fatty acids. Increasing the salt concentration in the medium resulted in an increase of cyclopropane fatty acids, with a concomitant decrease in the monounsaturated fatty acids, suggesting that cyclopropane synthetase is activated or induced by high levels of salt. %U https://www.microbiologyresearch.org/content/journal/micro/10.1099/00221287-134-1-199
