Abstract

SUMMARY

There is little, if any antigenic relationship between micrococci and staphylococci. Staphylococcus aureus and S. epidermidis have some common antigens. Three identifiable antigens are considered to be species-specific for S. aureus, which also has many type-specific antigens.
